Why am I still awake? Courtesy of a guest post on vowe dot net by Bruce, I am now installing the public beta of Notes 8. So much for "early next week".
Although giddy with excitement, I do have one criticism already, and the installation isn't even complete yet. I'd been hoping for an option to coexist with my 7 install, but no luck. But who am I kidding? Bleeding edge, full speed ahead, no turning back... when hasn't that been my preferred approach?

Rename your Notes 7 installed directly before running the Notes 8 installer. That's all. It will try to upgrade your 7 install anyway, but there won't be anything there. :)
