RAMtastic

After putting it off for a year and a half, I finally doubled the RAM in "the footlong" (my 12.1" Inspiron). I used to be able to limp along just fine with only 1 GB, but lately, trying to run Notes 8 + a separate instance of vanilla Eclipse, Notes 7 (yes, with 8 also open at the same time), Firefox and IE 7, GIMP... yeah, it was time.
By the way, to whichever genius at Dell decided it would be a great idea to make one RAM slot quite easily accessible on the bottom of the Inspirons but bury the other under the keyboard so that you can only get to it by prying loose the panel containing the power button, then unscrewing and removing the keyboard, and finally, unscrewing and removing another panel underneath the keyboard... bravo, sir. Way to think outside of the box there.
